Our monthly meetings are open to the public and are a great way for potential members to learn more about our group.  These meetings can range from guest speakers, to group discussions/activities, going out for dinner and drinks, or other fun activities. Feel free to invite any mom-friends who might be interested in joining!

If you are a mom of a little…playgroups are the easiest way to get to know members of our group in a low key setting. You get time with other moms and your child gets to play! Win – win.

Playgroups typically meet weekly in a member home, library, area parks (weather permitting) or other public location. These are private events and open only to members of Moms of Grand Rapids.

Moms Night Out is a member favorite! Get out of the house and have dinner or a drink with some gal pals. We schedule these outings each month hitting various spots around town.

Once you become a member of our group you get access our members-only Facebook Group that servers as our communication hub. Giving you access to our activity calendar, recipe archive, and post forums.  The chat topics are a wealth of knowledge right at your finger tips. The online forum can be lifeline to ask other mothers those pressing kids/family questions when you can’t get out of the house for face to face events. We are never lacking for moms willing to share their knowledge or experience.

What’s for dinner?  Just search the recipe forum in our members-only Facebook Group and you will walk away a full box of member-tested recipes. No pretty Pinterest picture hiding a recipe flop! Real deal meal.

Love it or hate it … read it or didn’t read it … come to Book Club and discuss it.  Our group book club is a laid-back group of avid readers. We read all genres, anything interesting is fair game.  We meet monthly to discuss the book and often tangent into regular conversation …with or without wine.

Movie Night is a fun way to just hang out with friends, enjoy a movie, and have some drinks. Location, date and times are always pretty flexible depending on who plans to attend.

Impromptu Events are created by members and shared in our member-only Facebook group. Going to a playground in the afternoon? Feel free to share it with other members so they can tag along. The more, the merrier!

Game Nights are such a blast. These events are scheduled a bit ad hoc within the group but typically occur once a month.

You know that half-finished scarf that’s been sitting around for months, and you’re just too busy to finish? Or that craft you’ve always wanted to try, but didn’t have any time? Welcome to Craft Night! Bring your own craft supplies, color in one of the provided adult coloring books, or just hang out. This is YOUR night.

Board members are elected by the membership and will meet every two months to discuss membership numbers, budget, and upcoming events. It sounds boring, but it’s actually pretty fun! Members are welcome to join the board for these meetings and give their input on new event ideas.
